Who owns CS1.1?

CS1.1 is a version of the Citation Style 1 (CS1) template used in Wikipedia to format citations. As part of Wikipedia's open-editing model, CS1.1, like all Wikipedia content, is owned collectively by the community of Wikipedia editors. It's not owned by any individual or organization but is instead managed and maintained collaboratively by volunteers who contribute to the Wikipedia project.

CS1.1, like other templates and content on Wikipedia, is subject to the guidelines and policies established by the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit organization that operates Wikipedia. These guidelines ensure the accuracy, reliability, and neutrality of content on the platform.

The CS1.1 template is continually updated and improved by Wikipedia editors to reflect changes in citation styles, best practices, and technological advancements. This collaborative effort ensures that Wikipedia remains a valuable and trustworthy source of information for its millions of users worldwide.
